Türk + Hillinger celebrates new building
TUTTLINGEN (fil) - Yesterday noon prominent guests shared the inauguration of
the new production hall of the company Türk+Hillinger situated in the Möhringer
Vorstadt: the Leader of the Parliamentary Group CDU/CSU Mr. Volker Kauder,
the District Administrator Mr. Guido Wolf, the Member of Parliament and Lord Mayor
Michael Beck celebrated the T+H Oktoberfest - together with approximately 450
employees.
"To the celebration under blue-white sky", as Mr. Volker Kauder remarked humorously,
were invited important business partners, emplyees and craftsman. However, the
managing director of Türk+Hillinger, Mr. Michael Mann, declared: "This hall is not only
for celebrations": He thanked his father-in-law, Mr. Erich Hillinger, the company founder,
"for the most beautiful hall you ever built ". With 108 m and 25 meters width as well as
the 17 meters high filling tower - "which does not only serve for advertising purposes",
thus Mann, - together with the outbuildings and new buildings at the locations Limbach/Saxony
and Hungary the new building in the Möhringer Vorstadt is component of a production
surface of in total 30,000 square meters. Within only six months the hall - which by the
way has a "kink" because of the flood protection at the Danube - was produced under
the direction of the architecture office Weber with site in Gosheim; mainly with craftsmen
from the region, as Lord Mayor and District Administrator stated contently.
For Michael Mann the “impressive and successfully constructed new building"
stands for his commitment to the location Germany and Tuttlingen. With side view
on other enterprises in the district he stated, that the company Türk+Hillinger is
investing despite rising pricing pressure and despite the high labour costs portion -
without threatening the employees with dislocation. The enterprise invested three
million Euros, like the politicians mentioned in their commemorative speeches with
thanks - "this investment we shouldered by ourselves", the managing director
determined. And he referred to the noticeable turnover increase of twelve per
cent to estimated 40 million Euros this year. "The order books are on a historical
top level", he stated pleased and announced further expansions - not least in the
range “Automotive”.

During the inauguration of the new production hall the company founder Erich Hillinger
explained the function of heating elements for the automobile industry and domestic
appliances to Lord Mayor Michael Beck - in the presence of District Administrator
