The automotive sector is also certified following ISO TS-16949 now
After nearly two-year preparation time Türk+Hillinger did now certify again
the automotive sector of the enterprise. „In the automotive sector the quality
requirements of our customers with respect to our processes and products are
very large. For years we have disposed of an excellent quality level, what is now
documented by the ISO TS 16949 certificate “, so Ralf Stolzenthaler, manager of
the quality department at Türk+Hillinger.
ISO/TS 16949 was published by the IATF (International Automotive Task Force)
which consists of representatives of the automobile industry.
The TS (Technical Specification) is an official ISO document and contains a
sectoral specific addition to the already existing ISO 9001 requirements of the
valid revision of 1994.
ISO/TS 16949 is considered as follow-up of the automobile standards QS-9000,
VDA 6th 1, AVSQ and EAQF which are presently demanded by the automobile industry.
Together with the customer specific requirements the ISO/TS 16949 covers in respect
of content the requirements of QS-9000 and VDA 6.1 and can be applied parallel for this.
The effective documents of the individual standards, which are also referred to in the
bibliography in the appendix for the ISO/TS 16949, are still valid.
By the certification following ISO/TS 16949 our enterprise fulfills automatically the
requirements according to ISO 9001:2000 and fundamental expectations of the
automobile industry, with the goal, to comply with the requirements from the customer
up to the final consumer.
