The new "Superbird" Airbus A380 experienced a so far never known global co-operation
and required of all took part a maximum of knowledge and technical know-how of all
involved persons. This applies to all assembly groups and components, regardless if it
concerns the assembly of the CFK and GFK parts, the engines or the interior.
The modern wide-body aircraft, which offers place to 555 passengers, is with 244 t basic
weight the roomiest and heaviest airplane, which one ever built.
For each A380 are used Tuerk+Hillinger tubular heating elements type RHK65. The T+H heating
element serves thereby for the heating up of drinking water of world-wide quality. The RHK65
is integrated in a container with a volume of 0.8 litres. In a regular cycle a four-hour disinfection
of the drinking water system is executed.
For all A380 versions together numerous orders from leading airlines are already on hand.
According to Airbus the A380 goes into the black from about 250 sold airplanes. On the part of
Airbus it is assumed with altogether 1500 orders until approximately 2025. The list prices are
between 263 million and 286 million dollar.
