Miniaturised and highly precise
Türk+Hillinger sets new benchmarks in the heating of hot runner injection nozzles
Türk+Hillinger, the market leaders for compacted electrical heating elements sets
new benchmarks in the plastics industry.
In the plastics industry heating elements are used in multiple variations as tubular
heaters, band heaters, cartridge heaters, flat heating elements or e.g. as high density
coil heaters for the heating of nozzles.
In hot runner systems those provide for the optimal process temperature and
have a large influence on the injection results. Here also the dimension is of high
importance, because the smaller the size the larger are the degrees of freedom
for the constructing engineer of the hot runner systems.
Up to now at the market were available smallest tubular cartridges heaters with
a diameter of 1,3mm only with very large tolerances of the heated length and of
the power. The reason for this was that already minor influences during the
compacting process led to large dispersions with these smallest heating elements.
By consequent and continuous optimizing of its manufacturing methods the heating
element specialists succeeded in constantly increasing the precision of the small
high density coil heaters type RPZ Ø 1.3 mm.
Türk+Hillinger is now in the position to offer these miniature heating elements with
a power tolerance of only ± 2% and a length tolerance of only ±0.5%. These small
tolerances lead to the most accurate heating of each individual plastics injection
nozzle with smallest dispersions in hot runner systems, also at a high number of
cavities. This new dimension of precision opens completely new possibilities for
the processing of demanding industrial plastics.
Altogether Türk+Hillinger provides a versatile product program for the most diverse
industrial heating tasks.
