Innovative heating element design for the heating of hot runner nozzles

TÜRK+HILLINGER presents a nozzle heater with a removable thermocouple and precise gap-free thermocouple positioning
 

HP Nozzle heaters Q-Series are now available with an exchangeable thermocouple. This includes a unique patented split groove thermocouple clamp, with a protected thermocouple fixation and a protected miniature plug.

Modern hot runner systems for highly engineered plastic materials now require from the plastic injection nozzles the most accurate temperature profile within confined space requirements. The nozzle heaters are becoming more complex and thus require the precise distribution of the heat output at the lowest tolerances. It is increasingly necessary for the maintenance of the system that a fast and secure interchangeability of the thermocouple and/or heating element is provided and readily available.

This is exactly where TÜRK+HILLINGER GmbH from Tuttlingen, a worldwide market leader for high quality industrial heating elements, is excelling with a variety of innovative new ion standards. The hollow cylindrical nozzle heater series HPQ, HPO and HPZ from the South German heating element company TÜRK+HILLINGER GmbH features minimum wall thickness, the arrangement of high-power densities in a confined space, minimal tolerances and a gap-free fit on the nozzle. 

This is complemented by the interchangeable thermocouple and the miniaturized high temperature resistant connectors for heaters and thermocouples. Furthermore, with the patented thermocouple clamp, the gap-free pressure contact ensures that the thermocouple tip is securely pressed against the nozzle. In the event of maintenance, the thermocouple can be changed easily and quickly without damage, thus avoiding the laborious removal of the heater from the nozzle. The exact positioning of the thermocouple and thus the precise temperature measurement, after the replacement of the thermocouple, is therefore ensured.

The new and innovative heating elements were presented for the first time at the Plastics Trade Show FAKUMA in Friedrichshafen. 

At the upcoming EUROMOLD in Frankfurt, a specialized trade fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, to be held from 29.11. - 02.12.2011, the new HP nozzle heaters will be shown at the TÜRK+HILLINGER booth in Hall 9, A 63.
