Turkish railway director at stand at the Eurasia Rail 2011
In Ankara the first international trade fair for traffic engineering, rail logistics and infrastructure, the Eurasia Rail 2011, took place in March. The fair was opened by the Turkish transport minister, Mr. Binali Yildirim and the Turkish railway director, Mr. Süleyman Karaman.
Interested native and foreign visitors could gather detailed information about the exhibiting companies, the products and the railway projects on the occasion of this trade fair. An informative and variegated framework program with numerous specialized lectures and presentations completed the event.
At this trade fair Türk+Hillinger was represented with its Turkish agency, the company AD-Form, with a stand. For many years the enterprise has been supplying electrical heating elements for keeping the switches free from frost and snow. The heating elements are supplied nationally to Deutsche Bahn but also internationally, e.g. to France, Switzerland, Slovenia or Iran.
Turkey and other Eastern European Countries have currently planned numerous infrastructure projects for the expansion of the railway system.
On 02. March 2011 the director of theTurkish Railway (TCDD), Mr. Süleyman Karaman and several industry managers, among others from Siemens and Alstom, visited the Türk+Hillinger stand and inquired in detail about the special railway products of the manufacturer fromTuttlingen.
Above all the switch heaters were subject, in addition, other products as for example air heaters for passenger cars and protective resistors for wheel bearings were of interest.
